Valentine, Pope Earn Second Team All-DAC Honors
Dallas College Brookhaven baseball players Balin Valentine and Hunter Pope earned Second Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference honors.
A sophomore outfielder from Abilene, Texas, Valentine batted .323 with 16 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 18 runs batted in, 41 runs scored and 19 stolen bases. He matched a career-high with four hits in two games this season. His 16 doubles were tied for 25th among National Junior College Athletic Association Division III leaders.
A freshman utility player from Frisco, Texas, Pope hit .434 with eight doubles, a triple, four homers, 26 RBI, five stolen bases and 20 runs scored in 24 games. He had a season-high four hits in a win over Dallas College North Lake April 15.
