Cedar Valley (17-31, 5-21 DAC) pulled within 10-6 in the sixth inning after scoring four times. The Suns put three runs on the board in the ninth, but couldn't push the tying run across.

Cole Mitchell finished up the fourth and fifth innings, giving up one earned run on three hits and no walks, and had two strikeouts. Clayten Mixon pitched the last four innings for a save, despite allowing seven runs on five hits and five walks. He had four strikeouts.
