Boedeker Named Second Team All-American
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven's Bradley Boedeker was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Second Team All-American.
A sophomore infielder/utility player from College Station, Texas, Boedeker batted .404 with eight home runs, 19 doubles, two triples, 45 runs batted in, 16 stolen bases and 58 runs scored. He had 69 hits, a .516 on-base percentage and .678 slugging percentage in 45 games as the Bears went 26-29, finishing second in the Dallas Athletic Conference and advancing to the NJCAA Division III South Central District Championship. Boedeker, a .377 career hitter in his two years at Brookhaven, matched his career-best with four hits in two games this season.
He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double and career-high six RBI and a walk in an 18-11 win at NJCAA Division II Murray State College. He had a career-high four stolen bases in a 9-8 loss at NJCAA Division I Alvin College, and a day later collected three hits in four at-bats to help the Bears beat that same team.
Boedeker had 22 multi-hit and 13 multi-RBI games.
He signed with the University of Texas at Dallas.
