Men's Basketball Opens Season Nov. 1
FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven men's basketball team will open the season Nov. 1 at Dallas Christian College.
The Bears, who went 9-18 overall, 4-6 in the Dallas Athletic Conference last year, will host Jacksonville College one night later in the home opener. It is the first of 12 home games for Brookhaven this season.
November will offer the Bears 10 opportunities to suit up in a loaded first half of the season, which features 15 of the 28 games before the month-long holiday break. Brookhaven's only other home game in the first month of the season is a Nov. 27 tilt with Temple College.
The Bears host Hill College to open December, and meet Loyalty College Prep five days later on Dec. 6 before finishing the week with back-to-back road games at Strength 'N Motion and Northeast Lakeview College Dec. 8-9 before taking the month hiatus for Christmas.
Brookhaven will open the second half of the season with four straight home games, beginning with a Jan. 9 visit from Loyalty College Prep. The four-game homestand concludes with the start of Dallas Athletic Conference play when Dallas College Cedar Valley visits the Bears Den.
Brookhaven's first road DAC game is Jan. 24 at Dallas College Eastfield. The Bears wrap up the first round of league play at home against Dallas College North Lake Feb. 3. The final DAC home game is set for Feb. 21 against Dallas College Mountain View. The Bears finish the regular season at North Lake Feb. 24.
The National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament is Feb. 27-March 2.
