Women's Soccer Nets No. 2 Seed, Open NJCAA Tourney vs. CC of Rhode Island

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven's women's soccer team will open the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament against seventh-seeded Community College of Rhode Island 3 p.m. CT Tuesday at Caromont Health Park in Gastonia, North Carolina.
The second-seeded Bears (12-2-1) will be playing for its third straight national championship and fifth overall. Brookhaven has won its last eight games, and are 2-1 on neutral site fields this season. Prior to Sunday's 2-1 NJCAA Division III South District Championship win over No. 3-ranked Dallas College Richland, the Bears had recorded five straight shutouts and 10 clean sheets this season.
Community College of Rhode Island (10-3-0) won its last four games, but will be playing its first neutral site game of the year. The Knights will enter the national quarterfinal matchup with the Bears, having outscored their last four opponents, 23-2.
Delta College earned the No. 1 seed. The national championship game is set for Nov. 12.
