Bears Earn 6 All-Academic Honors
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven's women's soccer team was represented by six student-athletes who earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic honors.
To be eligible for NJCAA All-Academic, a student-athlete must record a grade point average of 3.6 or higher for the academic year. Student-athletes who complete their degree requirements in the fall semester are exempt from taking courses in the spring. First Team All-Academic honorees post 4.0 GPAs. Student-athletes with GPAs of 3.8 and 3.99 earn Second Team honors. Student-athletes with GPAs of 3.6 to 3.79 are named Third Team All-Academic.
Bears sophomores Bailey Clark, Stephanie Farias and Meah Perez and freshman Maria Torres each earned First Team All-Academic distinction. Sophomores Allyson Kolba and Sara Suggs received Second Team All-Academic honors.
Brookhaven won its third straight NJCAA Division III national championship in 2023.
