Bears Sweep DAC Players of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's Alyssa Young and Miranda Estrada were named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.

Young won the Offensive Player of the Week. Estrada was named the Goalkeeper of the Week.

A freshman defender from Flower Mound, Texas, Young had three goals and an assist as the No. 2-ranked Bears won both games last week. She had two goals and an assist in 7-0 win over No. 9 Dallas College Richland. Young scored the gamewinning goal in a 3-0 win over Dallas College Cedar Valley.

Estrada, a freshman from the The Colony, Texas, stood in goal for both shutouts during the week. She made five saves in the two clean sheets.

Estrada has four shutouts this season.

Brookhaven (5-1-2, 3-0-0 DAC) will host Dallas College Eastfield 6 p.m. Friday.
