Estrada Chosen as National Goalie of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven's Miranda Estrada was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Goalkeeper of the Week.

A freshman from The Colony, Texas, Estrada posted two shutouts last week as the Bears won both games. She stopped five shots in blanking No. 9 Dallas College Richland and Dallas College Cedar Valley.

It was her third and fourth straight clean sheets of the season. She has a 0.53 goals against average and 25 saves this season.

Brookhaven (5-1-2, 3-0-0 DAC) will host Dallas College Eastfield (1-7-0, 1-2-0) at 6 p.m. Friday.
