Brookhaven Hosts South District Tournament

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament Friday-Wednesday.

No. 2-ranked Brookhaven (12-1-2, 10-0-0 Dallas Athletic Conference) won the league regular season title, and claimed the top seed. Dallas College Richland (7-4-1, 7-2-1 DAC) is the runner-up and No. 2 seed. Both earned quarterfinal byes Wednesday.

Third seed Dallas College Mountain View (5-5-1, 4-5-1) will play No. 6 seed Dallas College Eastfield (1-13-1, 1-8-1) at 11 a.m. Friday in the first quarterfinal.

Fourth-seeded Dallas College North Lake (1-8-5, 1-4-5) will meet No. 5 seed Dallas College Cedar Valley (4-6-3, 2-6-2) in the second quarterfinal at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Brookhaven will play the lowest remaining seed in Monday's 5 p.m. semifinals. Richland meets the highest remaining seed at 7:30 p.m. in the second semifinal. The championship game is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Games will be streamed on TSBN.

Brookhaven has won the last six district tournaments, dating back to 2019. The Bears have eight district championships. Richland was the last team to win the district title, doing so in 2018.

The Bears have won nine straight conference championships.
